Hello, Mariusz and Katarzyna here, we are a couple of enthusiasts who have been interested in animals from an early age! Even as children, we were curious and fascinated by all living creatures.
While on vacation in the countryside, Mariusz caught and kept various insects and invertebrates in jars, taking care of them and imitating his own zoo. Then it was time for my first aquarium and aquaristics was my leading passion. Over time, the aquarium grew from 25 liters to 250 liters and additionally, horned stick insects appeared in the house.
From an early age, Katarzyna and her brother wanted to have animals at home. Finally, the older brother brought the first tarantulas, lizards and a snake. This is how Katarzyna started taking care of exotic animals.
When we met and saw that we both loved animals, we quickly pursued it and expanded our farm. The breeding quickly expanded to include lizards, crabs, amphibians, snakes and various invertebrates.
In 2016, we decided that it would be nice to share our knowledge and passion, so we decided to create a YouTube channel - Vantis Terra ! It was the most important and best decision of our lives.
By creating subsequent films, we developed our knowledge, breeding and experience, but we also managed to contribute a lot to what was then a relatively niche hobby.
Our structural walls and the way we created them were very popular. We started promoting less popular species in Polish terrariums and we still continue this mission. We popularized and promoted the so-called "cleaning crew", i.e. small creatures that help keep the terrarium clean. We were one of the first in Poland to offer isopods. "We bred ants before they came into fashion" when the nationwide fashion for breeding ants began in 2015, we had already done it before and thanks to this, many people could gain knowledge from our films and buy handmade formicaria or rare species of ants from us . We were the only ones in Poland who showed how to breed wasps at home! We have described and organized the Geosesarma crab family. We were the first in Poland to show and create a multi-species paludarium, i.e. an ecosystem with a large number of animal species. These are some of the things we managed to achieve, now we continue our work and contribution to terrariums by creating Exotarium (exhibition of Exotic animals) in Krakow, one of the largest terrarium stores in Poland, and multiplying rare animal species! Of course, we don't stop and this is just the beginning...
Our scope of activities is very wide, we run an online terrarium store, a stationary terrarium store in Krakow, Exotarium - an exhibition of exotic animals (COMING SOON), a terrarium portal (COMING SOON) where you can read descriptions of exotic animals, a large terrarium channel on YouTube, let's participate in terrarium events throughout Poland. We educate and help in the breeding and protection of exotic animals, we breed and breed many species of animals. We breed over 200 different species of animals, from small invertebrates to large lizards. Additionally, we grow about 40 different species of exotic plants. We combine passions with work and science. We are always happy to advise and help you with your purchases.
We love reproducing the natural habitats of animals, we try to create terrariums as close to the natural environment as possible.
Our store offers animals, plants, terrariums, food insects, frozen food and all accessories needed for breeding exotic animals.
We were the first in the world (most likely :)) to have the largest offer of as many as 32 different types of terrarium substrates adapted to various types of animals and plants.
On the YouTube channel, we often show how to make such a natural tank and various other useful tips on how to breed exotic animals. We also discuss all issues related to broadly understood terrariums and everything related to it.
We often attend terrarium events organized throughout Poland, including: Kraków, Warsaw, Gliwice, Kielce, Poznań, Rzeszów and others. We have been exhibitors since the very beginning of the "return" of events in 2016, we present a very large offer of rare animal species.
We want more and more people to become interested in our hobby, and we also encourage them to combine hobbies that overlap, such as aquariums and terrariums.
Our goal is to disseminate interesting, less popular animal species of all types: reptiles, amphibians, insects, mollusks, arachnids, crustaceans and others. We also promote natural terrarium decorations, especially those with live plants. Environmental protection and animal species protection.
